Shaik Mohammad Rafi

Shaik Mohammad Rafi Joined Drug Discovery Unit (DDU), Centre for Biomaterials, Cellular and Molecular Theranostics (CBCMT), VIT, as a PhD Scholar with a Teaching cum Research Assistant (TRA) fellowship on 03rd February 2025. He graduated with his Master’s in Biotechnology from the SRM University, Kattankualthur, Chennai, India in 2023. For his Master’s dissertation, he worked on the project titled “In silico analysis and green synthesis of silver nanoparticles using C. roseus leaf extract, against antioxidant, antimicrobial and anticancer activity (MCF7 Cancer cell line)” under the guidance of Dr. Monisha M. Biotech Lab at Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing, Kancheepuram, India. He was Previously working as Executive in Microbiology at Micro Lab Pvt Ltd, Bangalore, India in 2025. He was previously working as Junior Research Fellow project titled “Nanoral: Two panel lateral flow assay device for presumptive identification of oral cancer” Under the guidance of Dr. A.S. Smiline Girija in the Department of Microbiology at Saveetha Dental college and Hospitals, Chennai, India in 2023. Passionate PhD scholar specializing in cancer immunotherapy, exploring novel therapeutic strategies to enhance immune response and overcome treatment resistance. Dedicated to advancing research for innovative, effective, and accessible cancer treatments.
